Adobe Earth Buildings
Adobe earth
buildings are constructed of clay bricks. These bricks are made up of
mostly clay with a percentage of 7mm agregate added along with barley
straw to provide reinforceing and stability within the brick. These
bricks are load bearing subject to specific design in accordance with
the earth building standards NZS 4297:1998. The lack of cement in these
bricks make them an eco freindly alternative to conventional building
methods.
